Welcome to Years R,  1 and 2 at St George's Catholic Primary School.  This page gives you an overview of the National Curriculum for Year 1 and Year 2 and the topic areas we will focus on in our learning this term. 

In Reception we follow the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

We use Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage (non-statutory guidance material) to support our practitioners in implementing the statutory requirements of the EYFS.  Phonics is supported through the use of the Sounds Write in FS2.

In R.E. we follow the God Matters scheme.

n Year 1 & 2 we use the following Schemes of Work:

• Maths: White Rose

• English: National Curriculum with Phonics supported through the use of the Sounds Write scheme.

• R.E.: God Matters

• Science: Science Pathways and Kent Primary Scheme of Work
